Il Centro Linguistico I seminari ARTS AND LITERATURE IN E-PUBLISHING UN CERCHIO DI SISTER STORIES Carolyn Guyer Sister Stories è un ipertesto creato in collaborazione dall’archeologa Rosemary Joyce e dagli scrittori ipertestuali Michael Joyce e Carolyn Guyer. E’ costruito intorno a un modello tratto dai miti di creazione atzechi, ovvero testi annotati, scelti da un manoscritto del 16° secolo che descrive la società atzeca nell’epoca immediatamente precedente la conquista spagnola. Le voci postmoderne si intessono con quelle antiche in brani inventivi che meditano sulla natura della narrativa umana. Sister Stories non è tanto una raccolta di grandi tratti differenziali tra la cultura antica e quella moderna, tra la scienza e l’arte, tra le donne e gli uomini, quanto un modo di aggirarsi fra essi. E’ un’esplorazione delle varie, mutevoli prospettive che, a mio parere, caratterizzano quest’epoca di transizione. A CIRCLE OF SISTER STORIES Sister Stories is a collaborative hypertext created by archaeologist Rosemary Joyce, and hypertext writers Michael Joyce and Carolyn Guyer. It is built around a framework of Aztec creation myths, annotated texts selected from a 16th Century manuscript about Aztec society just before the Spanish conquest. Postmodern voices weave through the ancient ones in fictional strands that meditate on the nature of human narrative. Sister Stories is not so much a gathering of great differences between ancient and modern cultures, between science and art, and women and men, than it is about the movement among them. It is an exploration of perspectivalization, or changing perspectives, which I have claimed characterizes our transitional age. Torna al programma
